Item Upgrades
item level upgrade upgrades provide players with the ability to upgrade their equipment that they already own. This can be accomplished by any upgrader of items NPC.
Upgrades can boost the stats of an item and add additional features based on the type of item. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs, and Goldwraps for casting builds.
Armour
Armour is one of the most important factors that keep Link protected from injury in all situations. Although it isn't able to be upgraded like weapons, it is able to be improved in various ways to increase its defence capabilities.
Armour is designed to safeguard animals and people from injury or harm regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or a range of hazards posed by the environment or activities. In the past, armour was primarily made from fabric or leather, but later metal protections were used as well, especially in military applications such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.
As with weapons there are a variety of ways in which armour can be upgraded, but the majority of them require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique level of upgrades available with higher levels of upgrades granting higher levels of protection, but requiring a higher cost in rupees and other materials to unlock.
The first thing you need to know about Armor Upgrades is they are permanent upgrades, meaning that once they've been installed, they cannot be replaced unless you own another piece of equipment with the same upgrade. You should only apply most powerful upgrades to your equipment and ensure that you have the materials needed to complete them.
In terms of acquiring the required upgrade components, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule including shrines, merchants and even enemies. They'll usually be identified with a gold circle or a blue triangle symbol and are available in large quantities as you move through the game. While they might appear randomly, there's the possibility that acquiring certain upgrade elements will result in a quest that will reward players with more.
It's important to keep in mind that, although the level offered by each upgrade could vary however, it will always be greater than zero. A complete set of upgraded armor will give you a strong defense boost that can protect you from all kinds of attacks, except magic. This makes it an effective weapon for all classes.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns with special upgrades that make them unique. These upgrades can boost damage or alter the performance of the weapon to match your specific build. They also allow new attachments such as unique enchantments, different kinds of ammunition, and aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon, you'll require an upgrade component ready and the item. The weapon must also be at a certain level for the upgrade to take effect and most weapons can only accept one upgrade at one time.
Weapon upgrade components can be found all over the world from enemies or from merchants. Upgrade components are a mixture of components that you can incorporate into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools in order to gain an attribute bonus. They require equipment to be of a certain level to be able to take the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.
Upgrades are a combination of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They are used to improve the stats of weapons and improve their ability to scale with other stats. These upgrades can be obtained from enemies in the open world, or from merchants. They are also dropped through combat.
Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs will take your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a more powerful version of the weapon and an upgrade.
It's essential to prioritize upgrading your best-in-slot items first, and then the ones you won't replace in the near future. If you're playing a melee build, for instance, upgrade your weapon first, then your shoulders and chest, then your hands and feet. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, based on your style of play, certain specific items are more useful than others. Armour is not any different, with some reforges better than others.
Magic Items
A character is able to upgrade only one magic item. If an upgrade project is canceled, any subsequent upgrades for the
item upgrader won't begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice as much gold to make or purchase, however they may offer additional benefits.
A magical item is an item with special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, but there are some that include armor, shields, cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other objects. Some of these items may be made sentient.
The majority of magic items have their abilities enhanced. This can make them more useful to players or help players overcome difficult situations. A weapon that contains some special substance could be able to provide additional damage against a specific kind of enemy. This is especially beneficial for characters who have reached the level where they are likely to face one kind of monster over and over again in dungeons.
An infused ring might confer immunity to bludgeoning, piercing or slashing damages from nonmagical attacks (not including silver-plated ones) until the next time the character is taking a long rest. This can be particularly helpful for melee martial characters, or any character who wants to avoid the cost and hassle of purchasing a shield.
Certain items with enchanted properties have special abilities that let the character cast spells in addition to the ones on their class's spell list. This is helpful for characters who have trouble filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These magical objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana), and the spell is determined by rolling a table based upon the amount of Intelligence points spent.
Other objects that are enchanted can permit the character's appearance to be changed, or they could even create a new appearance. These can be particularly useful for characters who have had to leave their homes, or who are in a situation where they may not be welcome. A magical item may provide them with invisibility or make them invisible to everyone except the chosen person.
Utility Items
Utility items are any equipment that isn't part of the categories of Armor or Clothing and come with a range of capabilities. Unlike Armor and Weapons and Clothing, no utility item is able to be in conflict with another. Most utility items provide a passive effect that the player can activate by using them, however, some come with additional capabilities that activate when the user presses an action button or activates a skill.
Generally speaking, the most popular kind of utility
item upgrader kit is the Flashlight that is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other utilities include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while they move, and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. In the Engineering section, you can quickly create a variety of utilitarian items, whereas others are only available through Research projects or experimental projects on the Proving Ground.
Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the items that are available in their normal inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness.
Most utility items give the player an advantage in navigation or enhance the ability to fight.
