World of Warcraft - Item Upgrade

Item upgrade allows players to raise the item level of weapons and armor that are equippable. This boosts the stats of the item and may also include buffs or rerolls to an affix.

In addition, an upgraded item may be able to offer additional buffs to the unit it is equipped with. These upgrades are able to boost the overall strength of a group or individual unit, and could have a significant impact on the gameplay.

Items can be upgraded by any item upgrader NPC in the game. Typically, these NPCs are located in major cities or questing areas. Players can also locate item upgraders by visiting dungeons with high-level bosses and by chatting with NPCs in their faction's garrisons.

The upgrade system for items in World of Warcraft provides players with the option of upgrading the level of armor, weapons and trinkets.
