WoW Upgrades - The
Best item upgrade Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the
Best item upgrade level, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar
item upgrade, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will display an
item upgrade's preview at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For instance, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of the Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining the latest recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a benefit as well as an issue.
In Season 3, the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with numerous new features added. Once the player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same
Item Level Upgrade level will cost less. This is even if the items come from an entirely different set of equipment.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are utilized during specific
item upgrader mod level upgrades. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to note is that crests can only be used on equipment that is of a particular rank, and that each rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through content at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of any difficulty to earn equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't need Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.
Another significant modification is that crests have one purpose, so it's important to make use of them in a responsible manner. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, that will be able to avail the account-wide discount if all of the slots are full of high-quality gear.
