Lightest
smallest double buggy Stroller
When looking for a light double stroller weight and fold dimensions are important factors to take into consideration. Choosing one that's easy to maneuver and compact when not in use makes it easier to put into the trunk of your car, and to maneuver through airport security and other foreign streets.
The best lightweight strollers have a simple, intuitive fold that allows them to stand up on their own. This eases the burden on the parent's body. Many strollers have various seating options and some can even accommodate infant car seats.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
The design is geared towards families who are constantly on the move. Compact and light weight, it has an easy fold with one hand. All-terrain wheels with front suspension, as well as a multi-position reclining seats allow children to weigh up to 50 pounds. The tray for parents and children, large storage basket, and 3-tiered extended canopy with the peekaboo window offer maximum sun protection.
The Cloud scored one of the lowest scores in our quality tests because it has a flimsy seat made of hard plastic and a design that appears outdated. It is also more expensive than other strollers that are lighter. This makes it a poor option for parents looking for an affordable option.
While it's not the most light double stroller, it does have enough features to be worth considering. Its swiveling wheels make easy to move it around flat surfaces. It can also leap over curbs without much effort. The Cloud's low handle is a problem however, as it's at knee height, and not adjustable. It's uncomfortable to push with your legs dangling in the air, and it doesn't help that it's not padded.
During testing, we found that the Cloud was easy to set up and open. It's a little more challenging to close the cloud, however. You need to slide a slider before you press a large white button to get it to collapse. This can be a hassle especially if you're juggling kids while you do it.
The Cloud comes with a small, but deep storage basket. It's large enough to accommodate the size of a large diaper bag. It's not the greatest width however it's likely that you'll need to leave something inside for the back to get it back. The Cloud comes with two tray for parents and a child tray each with two cup holders. However, both are too small for larger cups or bottles.
Kolcraft is a Kolcraft brand has been around since 1946 and is a third generation family-owned business. They started out making crib pads and diapers however, they now manufacture several baby products, including highchairs and infant car seats. The company is located in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist design, which is ideal for travel. It weighs only 18 lbs and is lighter than some single strollers. and can fold flat for easy transport and storage. It also has independently reclining seats, as well as large SPF50 sunvisors that have a peekaboo window. The visors can be adjusted to accommodate children of different heights. It also comes with an integrated parking brake with one step and is Disney-sized approved.
The swivel wheels of the Jeep are also fantastic for navigating over bumps and uneven surfaces. However, this stroller doesn't accept car seats, so your little ones must be at least 6+ months old and have a solid neck control to ride in the front seat. The stroller does have three panels of sun canopy, and each seat has its own cupholder and snack tray.
Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is yet another extremely light stroller that can be used side by side. It's heavier than Kolcraft Cloud Plus, at 23 pounds. However, it's narrower and slimmer (26.5 inches wide!) and is packed with luxe features that make it perfect for travel. It folds up easily and very easy to move around. It also can easily fit into the overhead compartments and the trunks of airplanes.
The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain twin buggy from birth (
sell) Nano Duo. It's pretty comparable to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS, however, it has a few key differences. It's also slightly more expensive, but it has better maneuverability and has the largest sun canopy. It also has a convenient carry strap and can hold children as heavy as 44 pounds per seat.
Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+
Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a lightweight stroller with lots of features. It is not only incredibly lightweight, weighing just 13 pounds but also has plenty of storage, including cup holders for the parent and child and a sippy-cup bag for the child, a parent's storage pocket and so on. This stroller is also able to fit the car seat of your child and comes with a brake that is easy to engage that can be used flip-flop. This stroller is designed to expand as your child grows. It can be transformed from a baby to an adult stroller by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children 6 months and older.
Another thing to consider about this stroller is that it only has swivel wheels and doesn't have locking options therefore it may not be the best option for rocky or hilly terrain. It's a great stroller for pavements, as well as other smooth surfaces, however, so it's still an excellent option for most families.
This stroller is among the lightest double strollers, with large features in an elegant compact design. It folds easily by one hand and then stored in the garage or trunk. It can also be used as a travel stoller, and is compatible without adapters with most car seats.
The Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is different from most strollers for travel because it features two separate seats that can each hold up to 100 lbs. The seats feature individual leg rests and 3-panel canopy that has flip-out sunvisors and peekaboo window.
The seats are padded to ensure your child's comfort. They also have a five-point safety harness which can be adjusted to three different height positions. Each comes with an infant cushion, which is ideal for babies. Parents will appreciate the cup holders for parents and children, along with the child's cup holders, a cell phone holder, and large storage basket. The stroller can also be purchased with the Yoyo+ Board which transforms it into a tandem.
Joovy Kooper X2
The Kooper X2 is an excellent choice for parents who want an easy-to-use double stroller that can hold two children. The sling-style seats are comfortable and offer a similar amount of headroom, allowing kids to sit together. Unlike many other side-by-side strollers, the Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat, which is ideal for napping. The recline mechanism is simple to use but doesn't go completely flat. Children who are taller may find that they have a leg that hangs out of the way when sitting in a reclined posture. It also features a large canopy, which we found to be superior at blocking out the sun than other strollers in our top
double stroller with infant car seat strollers review.
The stroller is
lightweight double pushchair enough to to move through door frames. This was an important issue with other models we tried. It folds quickly and the handlebars are close to the ground, making it easy carrying. Its only downside is its relatively small storage space, which can feel cramped when full of kid stuff.
