Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and MopIf you need to clean up messes quickly and efficiently, a
robot cleaner with mop vacuum and mop is the way to go. The
best automatic vacuum robot vacuums and mops that I test had superior mapping and navigation. They picked up Cheerios and fake dog turds, as well as tangled wires.
They're also easy to use using an app that lets you schedule cleaning tasks and see what they're doing.
1. Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
If you're looking for the top robot vacuum and mop combination that has cutting-edge features you should look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile, and it picked up human hair and pet hair almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It comes with a sleek application interface that comes with a miniature map of your home and buttons on the screen to allow manual control.
Another notable feature of the S8 is its ability to alter its cleaning mode according to dirt levels thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will wash its mopping pads more frequently when it encounters dust. Carpeted areas are given priority for mopping using mopping pads that are damp.
It comes with a range of other innovative features too, including an alternative dock that connects to your home plumbing to wash and clean the mop without requiring you to manually refill it. You can even make use of voice commands using the built-in voice assistant, saying "Hey Rocky" to specify room cleaning, modes, and granular controls using just your voice.
2. Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those looking for a hands-free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It's part of a plethora of robot vacuums that also feature mops but comes at a cheaper price than the majority of competitors.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little bit of work in order to start, including setting up an account on the manufacturer's app and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once you've done that, the robot will begin vacuuming and mopping effortlessly.
It's worth noting that mapping takes a while and may take a few times before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate picture of your space. In addition, object detection can be unpredictable and it was able to skim over furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a loose tassel rug and had to flip its back to release itself. These aren't major issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of an appliance that can do everything.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping uses a rotating motion that is similar to hand scrubbers. This means that floors are cleaned and not just swept. The detachable vacuum stick is a game changer that can reach places even robot vacuums can't.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with a slightly higher suction power of 8700Pa and some additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor is able to learn your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. And the smart app lets you customize various settings such as scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the mop and vacuum robot return to their charging base at the end of each task to clean their pads and empty the dust bins and place the debris into a self sealing bag. This helps to keep the system tidy and stops allergens from recirculating. Its battery life is sufficient to remove large areas without the need for a charge mid-clean.
4. Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the premium robot vacuum and mop models, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for its price. It comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power, a rotating brush for carpets and hard floors, and great obstacle avoidance. It also features a unique mopping system, that uses a roller that is continuously doused with water to pull up dirt and deposit it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation technology was effective and was able to navigate close to walls without crashing, and staying clear of stairs. However, it did struggle with fine engrained debris and wasn't always able to clear raised room thresholds. Its operating noise level is also relatively high, and it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than others.
Like many
robotic hoovers vacuums and mop cleaners, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you refill its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easy and allows the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors in regular schedules. Eufy's app allows you to manage all the functions. It gives an easy overview and a variety of configuration options.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra
robot cleaner vacuum/mower is one of the
best automatic vacuum cleaner mowers and vacuums available that are available. It offers amazing results when it comes to mopping and vacuuming. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with decent precision. The app lets users fine-tune map coverage, create zones that are not allowed to enter, and set cleaning preferences. The main roller brush is also designed to stop hair from wrapping around it, which is a big pain point with many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM, while applying up to 12N downward pressure. The mopping system also incorporates intelligent carpet detection, lifting the pads up when they're close to soft surfaces, preventing them from contaminating them with.
The docking station is a hands-free maintenance centre that automatically washes and dries the mops and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station also comes with integrated dust processing that compacts dust for seven weeks of hassle-free operation unlike conventional robot vacuums that empty their bins of dust every time they have to be empty.
6. S10
This robot is just a few hundred dollars more than the S8 and does an excellent job of keeping my office clean. It is also able to reach into the corners of my small apartment. It uses a laser mapping system and camera to create a 3D model of your home so it knows what to stay clear of. And, unlike many vacuums with mopping capabilities it also has detection of objects and obstructions that avoids things like dog toys and bowls (but not poop!).
It has other great notable features, like an automatic emptying dust bin and a mop pad self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can get to places that other mops can't reach. You can also customize the settings for each room and create cleaning schedules.
It comes with the same multi-room smart mapping feature as the S8 and can differentiate between carpets and laminate with high-pile carpets. It also lets you skip mopping rooms that are not filthy if you're trying to reduce time. It's an excellent option for those who have a variety of flooring in your home but aren't looking to spend the extra money for the Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that can handle both regular daily maintenance as well as touch-ups to wet messes, this robot is a great option. It comes with a variety of features, including a self emptying dustbin as well as a dock that can be used for refilling water, and customizable settings via the app. It's extremely quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. However, it isn't able to take care of knotted rug tassels, and its battery drains slightly quicker than other models in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerful unit that provides powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek design.
